Solar Dynamics and Magnetism from the Interior to the Atmosphere
Oct 31 - Nov 4, 2011 | Bechtel Conference Center - Encina Hall - Stanford University, CA
Workshop proceedings will be published in Topical Issue of Solar Physics
"Solar Dynamics and Magnetism from the Interior to the Atmosphere"
The topical issue is based on papers presented at the LWS/SDO-3/SOHO-26/GONG-2011 Workshop, but it is open for submission.
This topic includes recent advances and new problems in the exploration of the Sun's interior structure, solar dynamics and dynamo, mechanisms of sunspot and active regions formation, sources of solar irradiance variations, and links between the subsurface dynamics, flaring and CME activity. The primary focus is on understanding of links between the solar interior, magnetism and atmosphere.
The deadline for statements of intent to submit a paper is December 1, 2011; this is essential for planning this publication.
